What are the NFTs ?
NFT stands for ‘non-fungible token’. Non-fungible means that something is unique and can’t be replaced. By contrast, physical money and cryptocurrencies are fungible, which means they can be traded or exchanged for one another. Every NFT contains a digital signature which makes each one unique. Each NFT contains unique identification codes – proof that distinguish them from each other. NFTs are digital assets based on blockchain technology and could be photos, videos, audio files, or another digital format. NFTs can represent digital or real-world items like artwork and real estate.
“Tokenizing” these real-world tangible assets makes buying, selling, and trading them more efficient while reducing the probability of fraud.
While NFTs are predominantly associated with the digital space, they can also be linked to physical assets through tokenization, thus bridging the gap between the virtual and physical worlds.
NFT examples include artwork, music songs, paintings, photos, poems, literature, videos (performance, concert, acts) and more.
